Proven Leadership for Ward 4
For nearly two decades, Kashif Chaudry has proudly called Oakville’s Ward 4 home. Born and raised in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area, he is a dedicated husband, father of two, and an active community builder who understands the unique opportunities and challenges facing families in our neighborhoods. Kashif is running for Town and Regional Council because he is deeply passionate about addressing the issues that impact our daily lives, ensuring every resident can enjoy the exceptional quality of life Oakville provides.
Professional Excellence & Strategic Vision
In his professional life, Kashif is a highly regarded corporate consensus-builder with a track record of driving meaningful, sustainable change.
Backed by a Bachelor of Administrative and Commercial Studies from Western University and executive education from Harvard Business School, Kashif excels at formulating bold ideas, negotiating strategic solutions, and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels. He is ready to bring this same proactive, results-oriented approach to Town and Regional Council to ensure municipal resources are managed effectively and major initiatives are delivered successfully.
A Champion for Our Community
Kashif’s commitment to public service has always been central to his character. He has spent years working closely with local organizations and neighbors to solve problems and deliver tangible results for Oakville. His community impact includes:
Combating Crime & Enhancing Safety: Spearheaded a resident committee to address home break-ins and car thefts—resulting in zero incidents in the neighborhood. He also partnered with the city to swiftly resolve safety hazards in local community parks.
Advocating for Traffic Safety: Collaborated directly with city officials and a dedicated community subgroup to implement effective speed abatement measures on local streets.
Environmental Conservation: Acted as a community delegate at City Hall, campaigning to preserve the tree canopy along Bronte Road.
Fostering Community & Inclusion: Organized engaging local initiatives to foster connection. He also worked alongside Oakville city council members to secure the city's first-ever Proclamation Against Islamophobia.
Supporting the Vulnerable: Directed strategic recovery efforts to re-establish a local mental health helpline, delivered vital assistance to individuals facing housing insecurity, and mentored minority and immigrant professionals navigating their careers.
Protecting Vital Services: Leveraged his professional and community networks to successfully advocate for and preserve essential local language programs.
A Voice for Ward 4
Kashif believes that effective leadership requires listening, collaboration, and action. Whether he is advising on successful electoral campaigns, directing a grassroots initiative, or managing complex corporate operations, his focus is always on achieving measurable success. As your Town and Regional Councillor, Kashif will put his experience to work to serve the collective interests of Ward 4 and build a safer, more connected, and thriving community for everyone.
By actively listening to your feedback through community listening tours and surveys, I’ve outlined a clear vision for our future. As your next Town and Regional Councillor, I am committed to making these priorities a reality.
1. Community Safety & Smart Mobility
Our streets must be safe and efficient for everyone.
Proven Crime Prevention: Expand successful, community-specific crime abatement strategies—like the Saw Whet neighborhood initiative, which achieved zero break-ins.
Targeted Traffic Calming: Implement data-driven safety measures to protect pedestrians and cyclists in school and residential zones.
Smarter Roadways: Advocate for proactive road maintenance, optimized traffic signals, and safe networks for all transit users.
2. Responsible Development & Infrastructure
Growth must respect Ward 4’s character, prioritize homeowners, and protect our natural greenspaces.
Infrastructure First: Mandate that roads, transit, and utility upgrades are in place before new construction begins.
Sensible Permitting: Streamline homeowner permits and ensure local bylaws (drainage, grading, landscaping) are practical and fair.
Neighborhood Integrity: Balance necessary growth with the preservation of mature trees, green spaces, and the unique feel of our residential pockets.
3. Transparent Governance & Fiscal Accountability
Oakville needs leadership that understands large-scale budgets and risk. Taxpayers deserve absolute transparency on how their money is managed.
Transparent Financial Oversight: Applying strict compliance frameworks and demanding plain-language reporting on major capital projects so residents can easily track the use of their tax dollars.
Proactive Risk Management: Identify and mitigate long-term planning risks to keep Oakville financially resilient in a shifting economy.
Accessible Leadership: Maintain open, regular communication to bring the community's voice directly to Town and Regional Council.
Don't take my word for it—hear what other people are saying!
